Back in January 2025, Samsung announced the Galaxy S25. Nine months later, they released the Fan Edition (FE) of Galaxy S25. It was a bad phone by any means, but its timing was weird.

Anyway, we are past that phase of the weird timing. It has been a while since both phones have hit the market and used by users. One of those users is me – I have been using both of these phones on alternate weeks for the last six months.

If you want a simple answer, then yes, the Galaxy S25 is a better deal after all the discounts and price reduction it has had since its launch. But if you need more details on both phones, then stick around for a bit because I will be walking you through every necessary detail about them.

If that sounds good to you, let’s jump right into it.

How I Review Phones

Let me share how I review phones so that you can trust the words I write in this content piece. So, here you go: I check the phone comprehensively, from calling on it to putting it to heavy tasks.

That’s the only way I can know the ins and outs of the phone. On top of that, I make sure that my internet connection is sound for seamless testing. That’s why I rely on Spectrum Internet for testing these phones and my daily usage. I am sticking with this provider because of its supreme network reliability, fair-priced internet plans, and above all, reliable Spectrum customer service

Once I have a personal, detailed overview of the phone, only then do I jump into writing reviews on it. And this is exactly what I did with the Galaxy S25 and the S25 FE.

Now, let’s talk about the phones in detail.

Comparison Between Samsung Galaxy S25 and S25 FE

The Performance Comparison

First things first, let’s talk about the most important factor in a phone – the performance.

Starting with the bigger brother, the Samsung Galaxy S25 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. It is the best Android processor in 2025, which has now been succeeded by the 8 Elite Gen 5.

This Snapdragon in the S25 is coupled with at least 12 gigs of RAM, which makes it a really powerful phone.

On the flip side, S25 FE is powered by Samsung’s own chipset, which is the Exynos 2400. It is not a bad chipset by any means. It’s just not as great as that of the S25’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, especially considering that the processor is custom-made for Samsung with more TPU cores.

Anyway, how do they perform in real life? Well, when you use them for day-to-day tasks like checking email, answering phone calls, and scrolling social media, they both work similarly.

The real difference lies in the gaming performance. Snapdragon-powered S25 is better in terms of raw performance.

The bottom line is that if you use your phone for casual gaming and want to keep it for a long while, the Samsung S25 is the way to go.

The Display Comparison

If you want a quick, short answer, then, for sure, S25 FE is a better display. Let’s take a look at the specs to further understand my statement.

The S25 has a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display that is LTPO, so it clocks between 1-120Hz for better efficiency. The specs are the same for S25 FE; it’s just that it has a bigger 6.7-inch display. You will love watching content more on S25 Fe than S25.

However, S25 gets brighter at 2,600 nits, whereas the FE is limited to 1,900 nits. It doesn’t really matter unless you use your phone outdoors a lot.

You will be fine with any display; however, if you want the better one of these two, it is the S25 Fe mainly because of its bigger size.

The Battery Comparison

Last but not least, in the battery department, the S25 FE wins again.

There are two reasons behind this one: the first one is the bigger battery in the S25 FE, and the second is its faster charging speed.

S25 has a battery charging speed of 25W wired and a battery capacity of 4,000mAh. S25FE has a 4900mAh battery and a 45W charging speed.

In the long run of things, the S25 FE would surely be better than the S25, at least battery-wise. So, my suggestion would be to go with S25 FE if battery is your concern.

Which One Should You Get?

Let’s address the elephant in the room. There are two wins in different departments for the S25 FE, so does it make it the better choice when choosing between these two? Well, yes!

But S25 remains the true flagship with a few little things like improved speakers and vibration motor. Now, the ball is in your court – evaluate what you need and then make a sound purchase decision.
